Introducing: Michel Herbelin Newport Heritage Diver Automatic
The latest evolution of the popular Newport collection sees a sleek, new Heritage piece: the Michel Herbelin Newport Diver Automatic. With design cues from the 1970’s, the French watchmaking brand reinforces its history and expertise.
Newport has been the flagship collection of Michel Herbelin for over 30 years. Inspired by the America’s Cup and the race to Newport, Rhode Island, the collection has a nautical aesthetic. Porthole-shaped cases, crowns with ships wheel motifs and maritime colours all combine to create sailing watches that look stylish and perform impeccably.
Heritage Diver Automatic
The Heritage Diver Automatic reinforces the retro cushion-shaped case of the first Heritage Newport pieces 1764/42 and 1764/42B launched earlier this year. Whereas these automatic models have a 100m water resistance, the new Diver is water resistant to 300m. Also, the cushion-shaped case has a ceramic uni-directional bezel for timing time spent underwater and enhances the sporty look.
Two models are initially available. 1774/AN14CA has a matte black dial and black rubber strap. 1774/BL15CB has a blue dégradé dial (which is darker at the edges) and a blue strap. Also, a domed sapphire crystal protects the dial and a Swiss Sellita movement powers the watch.
Furthermore, the rubber straps are made from high-performance FKM elastomer. Durable and strong, they are covered by a 10 Year Warranty. Moreover, a stainless steel deployant buckle secures the watch to the wrist and a diving extension allows it to fit over a dive suit.
With a definite retro feel, the Newport Diver is a striking sports watch that would look great on any man’s wrist.
