Just Landed: Citizen Corso Watches with Vintage Charm
Citizen has refreshed its popular Corso collection with three new vintage-inspired strap models. Proof that a well-priced, classical watch need never look dull, the new Corso is a well designed timepiece.
With a 40mm case, the Citizen Corso suits most wrist sizes and looks great as an oversized women’s watch as well as on a man’s wrist. The lines of the case are clean with subtle chamfering on the case horns for a more contemporary feel.
First up, AW0090-11Z has a fresh-looking ivory dial. The central chapter ring has a textured hobnail finish whilst the outer ring is plain to highlight the hour indexes. These are faceted and tapered to draw the eye in to the centre of the dial. Unusually, dedicated windows at 12 and 6 o’clock display the day and the date. Also, a green leather strap provides a bright splash of colour and contrasts well with the dial.
AW0090-02X is a green dial version of the Corso. Fitted with a black leather strap, it has a dressier feel.
Finally, AW0092-07Q is in gold tone stainless steel. A champagne dial complements the case and a brown leather strap completes the look.
Equipped with an Eco-Drive movement, the Corso has a screwed caseback and is water resistant to 10 bars.
