Ball Watches originated in 1891. In that year, there was a fatal collision between two trains operating in different time zones in Ohio. Consequently, this resulted in a drastic review of timekeeping.

Mr Webb C.Ball, a jeweller in Cleveland, Ohio, was enlisted as “Chief Time Inspector”. His mission was to develop a timing system for the Railroad to ensure safety across the entire country. Webb C. Ball went on to develop watches for the railroads based on his high standards. Therefore, The Ball Watch Company that we know today has it’s roots in Ball’s jewellery business.

Hugely respected all over the world, Ball Watches set a benchmark in accuracy and efficiency.  Moreover, the industrial styling of each watch reflects it’s functionality and seeks to mark this pivotal era in timekeeping history.
