EBEL watches combine innovation with a passion for beautiful design. The brand was established in 1911 in Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Founded by husband and wife Eugene Blum and Alice Levy, the name EBEL is an acronym of their names “Eugène Blum et Lévy”.

In 1911, the watch industry was dominated by men. However, Alice played an instrumental role in the development of Ebel. Whilst Eugene focused on the technical side, Alice was the designer, ensuring that their timepieces were aesthetically pleasing and beautiful. Their skills were a winning combination and the brand became famous for elegant design and exquisite detailing.

Today, Alice’s design vision is still evident throughout the collection. Renowned for their iconic bracelet design with signature wave shaped links, they were also the first brand to set diamonds in stainless steel.
