The classic collection from Mondaine is the closest to the original watches first created by the company in 1986.

Firstly, the design of the Swiss Railways Clock was developed in 1944 by the Swiss Federal Railways, the SBB, for their train stations.

Secondly, in 1986, inspired by the blueprint of the patented design, Mondaine created a watch collection. This was with official license from the Federal Swiss Railways. Mondaine still operates under this same license today.

The design has stood the test of time and remained unchanged ever since. The simple and clear look indicates the influence of the Bauhaus style and reflects sustainability and clarity. Furthermore, the watch is a true statement: a Swiss original.

The Mondaine Classic collection impresses with its cleanly designed case made from brushed stainless steel. This imparts a timeless and minimalistic look and feel. Also, the iconic dial is highly readable through the hardened mineral crystal. Moreover, the red crown and red colour on the inside of the strap are hidden design features.
