Alpina Startimer Pilot Automatic White Dial Leather Strap Watch
The Alpina Startimer Pilot Automatic Watch is created in the spirit of the original pilot’s watches produced by the brand in the 1920’s. Consequently the Startimer has a vintage look.
With a 44mm brushed stainless steel case, the bezel is in polished steel. This draws the eye in to the dial. In white, it has applied black pearl arabic numerals which are coated in white super luminova for improved legibility. Additionally, super luminova coated black hands also enhance the visibility of the dial. The iconic red Alpina triangle logo is at 12 o’clock and on the second hand. In addition, a date indicator at 3 o’clock is a useful feature.
The traditional crown is oversized and shaped for ease of use.
The black leather strap has a soft finish with white contrast stitching which gives it a retro feel. Water resistant to 10 bars, the Alpina Startimer Pilot Automatic Watch also has an engraved caseback. Finally, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal completes the look.

After purchasing a used SAR rescue timer, I required the additional rubber strap and matching clasp.
Found that Watch Specialist supplied them so was happy to order one from their nice website and they kept me up to date with a delivery time etc.
