Firstly, it is available in two sizes. Size 38 fits watches with a 38/40/41mm case (measured top to bottom). Size 42 fits watches with a 42/44/45/49mm case. Therefore the watch strap size refers to the size of the Apple Watch CASE not the size of the strap itself. If you’re unsure which size you need, check the engraving on the back of the watch.
