Trainmaster Manufacture 80 Hours

The Ball Trainmaster Manufacture 80 Hours is an elegant timepiece. A certified chronometer, it has been tested by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) for its accuracy. To gain COSC certification, it must be accurate to -4/+6 seconds per day. Find out more about COSC here. With a Ball manufacture automatic movement, it has an incredible 80 hour power reserve. Therefore even if the Trainmaster isn’t worn for several days, it still remains accurate.

Case, dial, caseback

In terms of aesthetics, the Trainmaster has a clean, classical look. Firstly, the stainless steel case is 40mm in diameter and is highly polished. Traditional in its styling, it has a large dial opening and minimal bezel. Secondly, the blue dial contrasts with the case. To ensure night visibility, 15 micro gas tubes on the hands and dial glow brightly in the dark. The hour and minute hands are sword-shaped whilst the sweep seconds hand has a red tip for legibility and Ball insignia. Thirdly, anti-reflective sapphire crystals protect both the dial and the caseback. The sapphire crystal caseback covers the whole caseback with no metal surround. This allows a complete view of the stunning movement and demonstrates that the calibre has been manufactured specifically for this case (smaller movements often need a spacer around them which is covered by a metal surround).

Water resistance, bracelet

Water resistant to 5 bars (50m), the Trainmaster is anti-magnetic and shock resistant. Finally, the refined stainless steel bracelet is in a brushed and polished finish and fitted with a folding buckle.
