The retro style of the Ball Trainmaster Standard Time takes us back to a time immune from the whims of fashion. An updated version of the classic, reliable timepieces of yesteryear, the Trainmaster retains the Railroad Standards introduced by Webb C. Ball throughout the United States. A subtle combination of the vintage style reminiscent of the 19th century railroads and the cutting-edge technology used in contemporary watchmaking.

Case, dial

In terms of aesthetics, the Trainmaster has a clean, classical look. Firstly, the polished stainless steel case is 39.5mm in diameter. Secondly, the white dial contrasts well with the traditional black arabic numerals. Along with a legible minute track, they enhance the legibility of the dial even further. The hour and minute hands are in a beautiful blued finish and so too is the subsidiary seconds hand. A date window at 3 o’clock is also a useful feature. Additionally, 14 micro gas tubes ensure that the dial has great night visibility. Thirdly, an anti-reflective convex sapphire crystal protects the dial. Finally, a sapphire crystal caseback ensures that the workings of the movement be viewed and appreciated.

Water resistance, strap

Water resistant to 3 bars (30m), the Trainmaster is splash-resistant as well as anti-magnetic and shock resistant. In addition, the crown is easy to grip. Finally, the black crocodile leather strap is another indicator of the luxury status of this timepiece.
