BULOVA – Hack Military Automatic Watch 98A255

With genuine links to the U.S. military, the Bulova Hack Military Automatic Watch is a recreation of a watch Bulova produced for soldiers in WWII. The “Hack” watch has a hacking seconds function. If you pull the crown out, the second hand stops. Consequently, it was possible for groups of soldiers to synchronise watches. Although commonplace today, this was a new feature in the 1940’s.

This discreet watch was designed to be highly legible and unobtrusive. The new version has a 38mm case which is easy to wear. Also, in dark grey stainless steel, it is sober and functional. The black dial has easy to read numbers. Additionally, an inner 24 hour track in red makes light work of calculating military time designations. Cathedral style hands are true to the original and give the watch a vintage look.

A vintage style green NATO strap completes the look. Although only part of the strap goes under the case, the design makes it really comfortable to wear. Additionally, the pin buckle and metal detailing on the strap are in dark grey stainless steel to complement the case.
