Firstly, the 39mm silver-tone stainless steel case of the Bulova Hudson is sculpted with a convex design and soft contours that wear perfectly on any wrist. Also, it’s finished with a double-domed sapphire crystal, an elegant onion-shaped crown, and gently curved lugs. Additionally, on the reverse side, a screwed exhibition caseback allows a fascinating view of the underside of the automatic movement.

Secondly, the black dial is an exercise in balance, texture, and style, with four striking textural finishes culminating an appealing basket weave pattern at the centre (view blue dial version here). Furthermore, dramatic, arced Roman numerals mark out 6 and 12 o’clock. These are complemented by polished silver tone markers and a 3 o’clock date display.
