The Bulova Marine Star Blue Dial Heartbeat Watch is a classic timepiece with a legacy stretching back decades.
Case, Dial, Movement
Firstly, the 45mm case is in silver tone stainless steel with a striking blue edge to the bezel (view rose gold version here). Six blue rivets adorn the bezel. Similarly, the dial is also blue. Applied rose gold roman numerals stand out against a ridged textured outer ring. Additionally, the seconds are displayed on a sub dial which has red detailing and a red hand. Furthermore, an aperture in the dial reveals the “Heartbeat” of the watch: it’s automatic skeleton movement. A flat mineral crystal protects the dial. Moreover, turn the watch over and it’s possible to view the movement in action through the exhibition caseback.
Water resistant to 20 bars (200m), the Bulova Marine Star is suitable for swimming and snorkelling. It also has a practical blue silicone strap with bright red underside. Finally, to ensure the security of the watch, it has a solid pin buckle in stainless steel.
