This Bulova Sutton Chronograph Big Date Watch has a classic elegance.
Firstly, the dial is in a silver tone with rose gold hour indexes, ensuring the dial is easy to read (view skeleton dial version here). Similarly, the hands are also in a rose gold tone with rose gold detailing around the sub dials. Moreover, a particularly nice feature of the dial is that it demonstrates two techniques: Clous de Paris (or “hobnail”) texturing in the centre and Perlage (circular patterns) at the outer edge. Furthermore, the big date indicator at 12 o’clock really stands out and ensures the date is visible at a glance.
With a 44mm stainless steel case, the Bulova Sutton Chronograph Big Date has a presence on the wrist. The strap is in dark brown leather with an alligator grain. Also, a double folding clasp secures it to the wrist with two push buttons to release. Additionally, the crown is embossed with Bulova’s iconic tuning fork insignia. Finally, water resistant to 3 bars (30m), it is splash resistant.
