Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic Black & Yellow Dial Watch

The Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic Black & Yellow Dial Watch draws on the history of the iconic Promaster. Originally used by the Italian Navy, 1989 saw its release for a new generation of dive enthusiasts. The new Promaster Automatic has all the features you’d expect from an ISO compliant diving watch.

Case, Black & Yellow Dial, Crown

Firstly, made from stainless steel, the 3-part, 44mm case has a distinctive serrated bezel. Inspired by a fugu (the Japanese name for pufferfish), the rotating bezel is easy to grip. Similarly, the oversized crown is also designed for ease of use. Located at 8 o’clock for comfort reasons, it has a cross-hatched pattern to prevent slipping.

Secondly, the black textured dial has a yellow minute track around the outer edge (view blue dial version here). Additionally, the hands and indices are luminous for improved visibility. Also, the centre seconds hand has a yellow arrow-shaped tip to make it easy to see at a glance. Similarly, the minute hand is also outlined in yellow. Furthermore, a day/date indicator at 3 o’clock is a useful feature.

Strap, Water Resistance, Movement

A black polyurethane strap with heavy-duty pin buckle secures the Promaster Diver Automatic to the wrist. Moreover, an accordion section on either side of the case allows the strap to fit over a dive suit. Also, it allows for expansion of the diver’s wrist when diving. Additionally, water resistant to 20 bars (200m), the Promaster has a screwed caseback with pufferfish engraving.

Equipped with an automatic movement, the Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic Black and Yellow Dial Watch has a 42 hour power reserve.
