The Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic Black Dial Watch draws on the history of the iconic Promaster. Originally used by the Italian Navy, 1989 saw its release for a new generation of dive enthusiasts. The new Promaster Automatic is equipped with all the features you’d expect from an ISO compliant diving watch.
Case, Black Dial, Crown
Firstly, made from black ion-plated stainless steel, the 3-part, 44mm case has a distinctive serrated bezel. Inspired by a fugu (the Japanese name for pufferfish), the black rotating bezel is easy to grip. Similarly, the oversized crown is also designed for ease of use. Located at 8 o’clock for comfort reasons, it has a cross-hatched pattern to prevent slipping.
Secondly, the black dial has a white minute track around the outer edge. Additionally, the hands and indices are luminous for improved visibility. Also, the centre seconds hand has a red arrow tip. This makes it easy to read at a glance. Furthermore, a day/date indicator at 3 o’clock is a useful feature.
Strap, Water Resistance, Movement
A durable black ion-plated bracelet secures the Promaster Diver Automatic to the wrist (view strap version here). Moreover, water resistant to 20 bars (200m), the Promaster has a screwed caseback with pufferfish engraving.
Equipped with an automatic movement, the Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic Black Dial Watch has a 42 hour power reserve.
Finally, for a really special touch, it’s presented an exclusive collector’s dive tank style box.
