The Citizen Series 8 870 Automatic is a Limited Edition. Its release celebrates the 1 year anniversary of the launch of the new Series 8 collection. First launched in Japan in 2008, Citizen has re-launched Series 8 for a global audience. Series 8, 870 Case & Dial

Firstly, grey ion-plated stainless steel is 41mm in diameter. Secondly, the unique dial is made of lightweight carbon (the same material used in aircraft and high-performance sports cars). The dial is pared back with bold indexes and chunky hands. Furthermore, the hands and hour markers are coated in lume. This provides improved visibility in poor light. Additionally, this watch is the only Series 8 model to feature a see-through caseback. Also, a date indicator at 3 o’clock is a useful feature.

Movement

An 0950 automatic calibre equips the Series 8 870 Automatic Limited Edition. Enhanced magnetic resistance protects the movement against external magnetic fields from smartphones and tablets. Also, it features a superior accuracy of -5 to +10 per day. Moreover, it has a 48 hour power reserve and water resistance to 10 bars (100m).
