The Junghans Max Bill 34mm Automatic Watch is a must-have for watch aficionados. For the first time, the max bill is available in the smaller, 34mm case size of the original 1961 watch. One of the most extraordinary designers of the last century, Max Bill was an architect, painter and sculptor who taught at the world famous Bauhaus design school in Dessau. Following the Bauhaus design principles of utility, functionality and good design, he began designing watches for Junghans in 1961. To this day, Max Bill watches have remained largely unchanged by Junghans and still demonstrate Bill’s love of clean lines and legibility.

Firstly, with a 34mm PVD coated stainless steel case, the Max Bill Automatic is a unisex watch. It has a large dial opening and pared back case with minimal bezel. This ensures that the time is the focus of the watch rather than what is surrounding it. Secondly, designed with legibility and accuracy in mind, the dial is in a white matt finish with printed indexes. The hour markers are taken to the extreme outer edge of the dial to draw the eye in to the time. Similarly, the hands and hour markers are shaped for precision and the hands and minute track are coated with a luminous substance to ensure legibility in poor light conditions. Fitted with a reliable J800.1 automatic movement, the watch has a power reserve of up to 38 hours.
Finally, a white textile strap adds to the contemporary look. Furthermore, made from recycled PET bottles, it has eco-friendly credentials too.

Arrived sooner than expected which was great but would have appreciated an email that it had been shipped. RM just sent an em that a “parcel” was being delivered but could not tell us from whom. Scam packages requiring duties and other charges are a current problem in our rural area.
