The Junghans Meister Automatic Watch with Grey Dial is descended from the first Meister (Master) watches. Created by the company in the 1930’s, the collection had its heyday in the 1950’s and 60’s. Throughout this time numerous calibres were developed by Junghans. However, only the most sophisticated were fitted to the Meister watches. Consequently, the Meister watches of today are a homage to the design and technical achievements of the original Meister collection. Case, Movement

Firstly, housed within a 40.4mm stainless steel case is a reliable J800.1 self-winding movement. Secondly, with a 38 hour power reserve, it’s easy to view the movement in action through the glass exhibition screwed caseback. Furthermore, the movement equips the watch with hour, minute and seconds functions. Additionally, a date display at 3 o’clock is also a useful addition.

Dial

The matt dark grey dial is in a lacquered finish with applied indexes and printed hour markers. Additionally, an environmentally friendly luminous substance coats the stainless steel hour and minute hands. This ensures maximum legibility in poor light conditions. Moreover, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial. Finally, a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp secures the Meister Automatic to the wrist.
