The Junghans Form A Watch is described by the German brand as “a watch for every occasion and every time”. Consequently, Form A timepieces are sober, refined and unadorned.

Dial, Strap

Although at first glance the FORM A appears reserved, it is the little details that count. Firstly, this FORM A model has a crisp, silver-plated concave dial with interesting square embossed minute markers. Secondly, the layout of the dial has been carefully considered with legible printed hour markers and arabic numerals designed for accuracy and ease of use. Furthermore, arabic numerals around the minute track highlight each five minute interval. Additionally, a date indicator is a useful function and is framed by a subtle shaping of the dial surrounding it. Furthermore, a side view of the watch reveals that it is ergonomic in design. The case is a convex shape which underscores its flat appearance and enhances comfort for the wearer.

Finally, a black calf leather strap provides the finishing touch. Deliberately plain, it has no stitching for a smooth aesthetic.

A is for Automatic

The “A” in FORM A stands for Automatic. The watch has a J800.2 self-winding movement with a power reserve of up to 38 hours. Furthermore, the movement with polished rotor can be viewed through the tinted mineral glass caseback.
