Junghans describes its FORM line as “a watch for every occasion and every time”. Combining modern design in a classic watch form, expect timepieces that are sober, refined and unadorned. The FORM MEGA uses the latest in radio-controlled movements from this innovative German brand to create a watch that is accurate – even to the half second. Even when no longer in reception range, the FORM MEGA remains entirely reliable in quartz mode. When journeying to far off cities around the world, the respective time can either be set with the crown or via the Junghans MEGA app.

Design in depth

Although at first glance the FORM line appears reserved, it is the little details that count. This FORM model has a crisp, white concave dial with interesting square embossed minute markers. The layout of the dial has been carefully considered with the legible printed hour indexes and black arabic numerals designed for accuracy and ease of use. Around the minute track, arabic numerals printed in orange highlight each five minute interval. This orange detailing is picked out in the strap which, although at first glance is plain black, has orange sides.

The date is a useful function and is framed by a subtle shaping of the dial surrounding it.

A side view of the watch reveals that it is ergonomic in design. The case is a convex shape which underscores its flat appearance and enhances comfort for the wearer.
