The Maurice Lacroix Aikon Grey Dial Chronograph is a beautifully crafted timepiece. Descended from the ‘Calypso’ collection of the 1990’s, Aikon has a distinctive design language that makes it instantly recognisable.

Aikon: Case, Dial

Firstly, in polished and brushed stainless steel, the Aikon Chonograph has a 44mm case. Consequently, it has quite a presence on the wrist. Secondly, six polished elements around the brushed bezel are an instantly recognisable Aikon design feature (see the blue bezel version here). Additionally, the anthracite sunray dial has applied hour indexes in a silver tone. Similarly, the hour and minte hands are also in a silver tone with white super luminova for improved visibility. A date window at 6 o’clock is also a useful feature. Moreover, a blue calf leather strap with alligator grain pattern integrates perfectly with the case. Finally, with a flat sapphire crystal, the watch resides neatly under a stylish shirt cuff.
