Official Swiss Railways Classic 40mm Yellow Strap Watch
The original Swiss Railways design is given a new twist with this Mondaine Classic 40mm Watch with bright yellow strap. Developed in 1944 by the Swiss Federal Railways (the SBB) for their station clocks, it was first launched as a wristwatch by Mondaine in 1986. The look is minimalist with clear Bauhaus influence. Functionality and legibility are the hallmarks of this timepiece collection.
Characterised by it’s brushed 40mm steel case this Classic Watch has a modern feel. The iconic dial has hour and minute markers in steel which tone with the case. For a really minimal look, even the logo on the dial is in a tonal silver shade. The red sweeping second hand really stands out against the white dial and complements the red Mondaine monogram set into the crown.
The strap is in a bold, bright yellow leather with stitched sides and perforated detailing.
Mondaine has a long watch-making tradition and their watches are synonymous with Swiss quality. Manufactured at their factory in Solothurn, all watches are water resistant up to 3 bars (30m) and for complete peace of mind, come with a 2 year warranty.
