The Mondaine Evo2 Big Watch has the iconic dial which has made the design a cult classic.
In 1944, Swiss engineer Hans Hilfiker in 1944 designed the Official Swiss Railways Clock on behalf of the Federal Swiss Railways. Mondaine was inspired by the blueprint of the original patented design and in 1986 turned the design for the clock into a collection of watches. This was with official license from the Federal Swiss Railways.
This Evo2 watch has all the timeless Bauhaus style of the Classic Official Swiss Railways Watch with the addition of an automatic movement. For maximum comfort the Evo2 Big has a seamless 40mm stainless steel case in a rounded shape. This Mondaine Evo2 Big Watch has a classic black leather strap with a steel pin buckle. The dial is in classic white with black indexes and is legible and easy to read. Equally suited to a man or a woman’s wrist, this classic style looks good on everyone.
The Mondaine collection has such a strong identity that it has long been considered as one of the “10 Classic Swiss Watch Designs”, scooping design awards and achieving cult watch status.
Mondaine has a long watch-making tradition and their watches are synonymous with Swiss quality. Manufactured at their factory in Solothurn, all watches are water resistant up to 3 bars (30m) and for complete peace of mind, come with a 2 year warranty.

After purchasing a used SAR rescue timer, I required the additional rubber strap and matching clasp.
Found that Watch Specialist supplied them so was happy to order one from their nice website and they kept me up to date with a delivery time etc.
