Developed in 1944 by the Swiss Federal Railways (the SBB) for their station clocks, the iconic dial design was first launched as a wristwatch by Mondaine in 1986. The design has truly stood the test of time and has remained unchanged ever since. The look is minimalist with clear Bauhaus influence. Functionality and legibility are the hallmarks of this timepiece collection.
What is Stop2Go?
An exclusive and unique Swiss Made movement, the stop2go movement resembles that of the Swiss Railways clock as it showcases a 2-second time stop. The distinctive red second hand of the wristwatch makes a full circle turn in 58 seconds and then waits for 2 seconds when it reaches the hour, allowing the minute hand to elegantly jump to the next minute.
The timepiece showcases a brushed stainless-steel case measuring 41mm. The case is crown-less so it comes with a time setting pen to easily adjust time and align hands. Also, it has a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which is strong and scratch resistant. Additionally, the iconic black dial is clear and legible at all times thanks to the bold hour markers and minute track. Moreover, the Mondaine Stop2Go 41mm watch features the patented BackLight technology that lets the underside of the hands glow and allows the time to be read in darkness.
Sustainable Vegan Grape Leather Strap
The sustainable strap of the Mondaine Stop2Go 41mm Watch is made from grape leather which is a by-product of the wine making industry. Also, the quick-change system allows you to quickly and easily change the 20mm strap for an alternative with no need for tools. You can view additional 20mm straps available for this watch here.
