The Mühle-Glashütte Terranaut III Watch is designed as an all terrain timepiece. Whether on land, water or in the air, precision timekeeping is all important. Indeed, the Terranaut takes its name from the Latin “terra” meaning earth or land and “naut” from nautical.

Case, Dial, Strap, Movement

Firstly, with a 40mm stainless steel case, the design of the Terranaut bears a strong resemblance to aircraft cockpit instruments. Secondly, it is clear and easy to read thanks to its black dial with “aged tan” printing. Additionally, to ensure legibility in poor light, the minute track and hour and minute hands are coated in Super LumiNova. Conversely, to ensure it is easy to read in bright light, the sapphire crystal has an anti-glare coating. Furthermore, the black strap is practical in a synthetic canvas finish. A stainless steel pin buckle secures it to the wrist. Finally, the screw-down crown is easy to grip and ensures water resistance to 10 bars. Also it is is shock-proof and has a 38 hour power reserve.

Equipped with an SW200 automatic movement, the Mühle-Glashütte Terranaut III Watch spans the gap between nautical science and aeronautics between which there are a lot of similarities as far as time measurement is concerned, and not only in terms of its name.
