Oris Aquis Clean Ocean Limited Edition

The Oris Aquis Clean Ocean Limited Edition is part of Oris’s mission to “Go Your Own Way”. As such, the brand is striving to be more environmentally aware. As well as introducing more sustainable materials and manufacturing techniques, it also means raising awareness. The Oceans Project is at the forefront of that ambition, highlighting the threat posed to the world’s oceans by plastic. The Clean Ocean Limited Edition is based on the high-functioning Oris Aquis diver’s watch. Each of the 2,000 pieces created carries a unique medal made of recycled plastic inserted into the case back.

Case, dial

Firstly, the stainless steel case is 39.50mm in diameter with a blue ceramic bezel. This symbolises the beauty and importance of water. Secondly, the dial is also blue to reflect the colour of the ocean. It has bold, white hour markers. Along with the hands, these are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, a white minute track ensures the dial is easy to read. Finally, a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial.

Water Resistance, Special Caseback, Bracelet

Water resistant to 30 bars (300m), the Aquis Clean Ocean Limited Edition has an easy grip screw-down crown. Similarly, the caseback also screws-in and is set with a medallion of recycled PET plastic.
