The Oris Artelier Chronometer Date Watch is described by Oris as “a bridge between the past and the future”. Originally designed for navigation at sea, today chronometers are highly accurate watches for use on dry land. As a certified chronometer, this watch has passed the test of the COSC.

Case, Dial, Date, Crystal

Firstly, the stainless steel case is elegantly contoured and is 40mm in diameter. Secondly, the dial is in an elegant silver guilloché finish with fine, applied rose gold tone hour markers. It also has fine hands in rose gold tone stainless steel which are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, an elegant minute track at the extreme edge ensures the dial is easy to read. A date window positioned at 3 o’clock is also a useful feature. Finally, the sapphire crystal is domed on both sides for a clear view of the pattern on the dial. An anti-reflective coating on the inside reduces glare.

Movement, Water Resistance, Caseback, Strap

Equipped with a precision Oris 737 automatic chronometer movement, the watch has a 38 hour power reserve. In addition it is water resistant to 5 bars (50m) and has an easy grip stainless steel crown. Additionally, the see-through mineral caseback screws-in and allows a fantastic view of the movement in action. Finally, the light brown leather strap has a secure folding clasp.
