The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Big Date offers function-based design at its most successful. The series is the result of extensive research between professional pilots and Oris product designers. The Oris Big Crown DNA has been respected and transformed into a new generation of elite pilot watches. Consequently, this ProPilot timepiece embodies the spirit of aviation and is full of great features.

Case, Dial, Date, Crystal

Firstly, the brushed stainless steel case is 41mm in diameter and has a distinctive fluted edge to the bezel. Secondly, the dial is in blue (view grey dial version here). Also, it has bold, arabic figures and hour markers in white. Along with the hands, these are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, a minute track ensures the dial is easy to read. The date display is at 3 o’clock. Moreover, the domed sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating on the inside reducing glare for better legibility in the cockpit.

Movement, Water Resistance, Crown, Caseback, Bracelet

Equipped with a precision Oris 751 automatic movement, the watch has a 38 hour power reserve. Additionally, it is water resistant to 10 bars (100m) and has a large easy grip screw-down crown. This has the same fluted pattern as the bezel. Similarly, the see-through caseback also screws-in and allows a fantastic view of the movement in action. Finally, the stainless steel bracelet has a secure folding clasp.
