The Oris Big Crown ProPilot series is the result of extensive research between professional pilots and Oris product designers. The Oris Big Crown DNA has been respected and transformed into a new generation of elite pilot watches. Consequently, this ProPilot GMT timepiece embodies the spirit of aviation and includes a complication very useful for pilots: a second time zone.

Case, Dial, Date, Crystal

Firstly, the multi-piece stainless steel case is 45mm in diameter and has a distinctive fluted edge to the bezel. Secondly, the dial is in anthracite grey with bold, arabic figures and hour markers in white. Along with the hands, these are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, a minute track ensures the dial is easy to read. Furthermore, a pointer hand with an arrow head indicates a second time zone. Additionally, the seconds are displayed on a subsidiary dial at 9 o’clock with a date indicator at 3 o’clock. Finally, the sapphire crystal is domed on both sides. An anti-reflective coating on the inside reduces glare for better legibility in the cockpit.

Movement, Water Resistance, Crown, Caseback, Strap

Equipped with a precision Oris 748 automatic movement, the watch has a 38 hour power reserve. In addition it is water resistant to 10 bars (100m) and has a large easy grip screw-down crown. This has the same fluted pattern as the bezel. Similarly, the see-through caseback also screws-in and allows a fantastic view of the movement in action. Finally, the dark brown leather strap has white contrast stitching and a secure folding clasp.
