Oris Big Crown ProPilot Worldtimer

The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Worldtimer features an innovative bezel-adjustment system. Turn the bezel clockwise and local time moves forward in one-hour jumps; anti-clockwise and it jumps back an hour, even adjusting the date backwards over midnight.

Case, Dial, Date, Crystal

Firstly, in terms of styling, the stainless steel case is 44.7mm in diameter with a distinctive fluted edge to the bezel. Secondly, the dial is anthracite grey with bold, arabic figures and hour markers in white. Along with the hands, these are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, a minute track ensures the dial is easy to read. Furthermore, a sub dial at 3 o’clock indicates a second time zone and features a day/night indicator. Moreover, a sub dial at 9 o’clock indicates the seconds. Finally, a sapphire crystal protects the dial. Domed on both sides, it has an anti-reflective coating on the inside to reduce glare for better legibility in the cockpit.

Movement, Water Resistance, Crown, Caseback, Strap

Equipped with a precision Oris 690 automatic movement, the watch has a 38 hour power reserve. Additionally, it is water resistant to 10 bars (100m) and has a large easy grip screw-down crown. This has the same fluted pattern as the bezel. Similarly, the see-through caseback also screws-in and allows a fantastic view of the movement in action. Finally, a brown crocodile leather strap adds the finishing touch and a folding clasp secures it to the wrist.
