Oris Divers Sixty-Five Black Dial Watch

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Black Dial Watch is a revival of an iconic diver’s watch that first appeared in the Oris collection 50 years ago. The new Divers Sixty-Five shares the retro looks of the 1960’s original, but utilises 21st century watchmaking techniques.

Case, Black Dial, Date, Crystal

Firstly, the stainless steel and bronze case is a functional 40mm in diameter with a black bezel. Uni-directional, it has a white minute scale for measuring elapsed time. Secondly, the dial is also black with bold, gold tone hour markers. Along with the hands, these are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, a gold minute track ensures the dial is easy to read. Furthermore, a date indicator at 6 o’clock is a useful feature. Finally, the domed sapphire crystal is inspired by the original watch. An anti-reflective coating on the inside reduces glare for better legibility under water.

Movement, Water Resistance, Special Caseback, Strap

Equipped with a precision Oris 733 automatic movement with iconic red rotor, the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Black Dial Watch has a 38 hour power reserve. In addition it is water resistant to 10 bars (100m) and has an easy grip screw-down crown. Similarly, the caseback also screws-in and has special engraved detailing. Finally, the vintage-style brown leather strap has a stainless steel buckle (view bracelet version here).
