Oris Divers Sixty-Five

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Watch is a revival of an iconic diver’s watch that first appeared in the Oris collection 50 years ago. The new Divers Sixty-Five shares the retro looks of the 1960’s original, but utilises 21st century watchmaking techniques.

Case, Dial, Date, Crystal

Firstly, the stainless steel case is a functional 40mm in diameter with a black bezel. Uni-directional, it has a white minute scale for measuring elapsed time. Secondly, the dial is blue with a central black chapter ring. It also has bold, retro style arabic figures and hour markers in cream. Along with the hands, these are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, a central minute track ensures the dial is easy to read. The date is displayed at 6 o’clock. Finally, the domed sapphire crystal is inspired by the original watch. An anti-reflective coating on the inside reduces glare for better legibility under water.

Movement, Water Resistance, Special Caseback, Strap

Equipped with a precision Oris 733 automatic movement, the watch has a 38 hour power reserve. In addition it is water resistant to 10 bars (100m) and has an easy grip screw-down crown. Similarly, the caseback also screws-in and has special engraved detailing. Finally, the black rubber strap has a carbon fibre pattern with a stainless steel buckle.
