The Raymond Weil Jimi Hendrix Limited Edition is a must-have for any Hendrix fan. Honouring the world’s greatest guitarist, Raymond Weil have joined forces with Authentic Hendrix. The result is a watch that is inspired by Hendrix’s timeless Woodstock appearance in 1969.  50 years on, Woodstock is considered one of the most pivotal live music events in history and saw Hendrix perform his renowned rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

Limited Edition Freelancer

Limited to only 500 pieces, Raymond Weil chose their flagship Freelancer collection to capture Jimi Hendrix’s free-spirit and classic trademarks. His famous 1968 white Fender Stratocaster inspired many of the dial’s details. Firstly, the ten dotted index markers mimic the frets on his guitar neck. Secondly, the circular border on the dial represents the six guitar strings. Additionally, the tachymeter ring is detailed with the singer’s famous quote, “Music is my Religion” alongside his name. Moreover, the vibrant blue colour on the chronograph and centre seconds hands is from the outfit Jimi Hendrix wore at Woodstock. Furthermore, the counterweight on the centre second hand is in the shape of a guitar head. However, it is turned backwards, the way Hendrix used to hold and play his guitar. Finally, the case back is finished with the Authentic Hendrix logo, giving his estate’s seal of approval.

Automatic Chronograph Movement

Equipped with an RW5200 Swiss automatic chronograph movement, the watch has a 48 hour power reserve. Additionally, it is water resistant to 10 bars (100m). Also, it has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
