This timeless Seiko Presage ‘Rusty Nail’ GMT Watch is from the popular Cocktail Time collection. Inspired by classic cocktails mixed by award winning Tokyo bartender Hisashi Kishi, the dial takes its colour from the brown shade of a Rusty Nail cocktail. Blended with Scotch whisky and Drambuie, the ‘Rusty Nail’ balances sweet and spice flavouring with a trace of smokiness and honey finished with a garnish of lemon peel. Consequently, cool steel combines with smoky brown tones to create a timepiece with a sophisticated vintage charm.
Automatic Movement
Equipped with an automatic 4R34 calibre, the ‘Rusty Nail’ Watch has GMT functionality. The GMT hand is inspired by the stem of a cocktail glass, whilst the second hand signifies a cocktail stirrer with its elegant handle. In tandem with the arabic numerals at each index, this timepiece tracks two timezones simultaneously. With a power reserve of up to 41 hours, it’s possible to manually wind the watch and you can feel the strong torque of the winding mechanism when you grip the uniquely-shaped crown. Additionally, a see-through screw caseback enables a great view of the movement in action.
Brown Sunray Dial
The graduated brown dial is the star of the show in a deep, pressed sunray finish which radiates from the centre (view the ‘Acacia’ version with cream dial here). Furthermore, seven layers of gloss enhance the beauty of the dial. Razor sharp hour indexes and delicately curved hands complement the slim profile case. At 40.5mm in diameter the circular case is elegant in polished stainless steel. Finally, a dark brown calf leather strap completes the elegant look and a folding clasp secures it to the wrist.
