The Seiko Presage Hojicha Cocktail Time Watch is inspired by Japanese cocktail culture. A Limited Edition of 7,000 pieces, the look is vintage and invokes escapism.

Case, Dial

Firstly, with a 38.5mm diameter, the case is slightly smaller than similar Presage models. However, this is in line with the vintage feel of the watch and in polished stainless steel, it retains the clean lines and sharp styling synonymous with the range. Secondly, the smoky brown dial takes its colour from a “Hojicha” cocktail. Furthermore, the texture is designed to echo the Kyoto Japanese traditional tea ingredients  – a speciality from the area. This gives the dial a three-dimensional feel. Additionally, the typography on vintage liquor bottles inspires the applied steel hour indexes and arabic numerals. Also, silver tone dauphine hands complement the dial. Moreover, a second hand shaped like a cocktail stirrer is a lovely, subtle detail. Finally, a dark brown calf leather strap provides the finishing touch and a folding clasp secures it to the wrist.

Movement

Equipped with an automatic calibre 4R35 movement, the Seiko Presage Hojicha Cocktail Time Watch has a power reserve of up to 41 hours. Additionally, it is also possible to manually wind it and you can feel the strong torque of the winding mechanism when you grip the crown. Furthermore, a see-through caseback enables the intricacies of the movement to be appreciated.
