This Seiko Prospex ‘Great Blue’ Samurai Scuba PADI Special Edition is as distinctive as it is functional.
Nicknamed “Samurai” by Seiko fans because of its sword shaped hands, it has a distinctive case with chamfered edges where the case meets the bracelet. Although outwardly similar in looks to the Turtle, it is this contouring which gives the Samurai a more contemporary look and ultimately makes it feel bigger on the wrist. It is however, still very comfortable to wear.

Dial, Strap, Crown
Water resistant to 200 m/660 ft the Samurai has all the attributes you would expect from a professional Diver’s watch. Firstly, the incredible blue dial takes its inspiration from a diver’s underwater view as the sun reflects off the surface of the ocean. The light blue highlights on the minute hand and bezel aid legibility. Also, it has high-visibility hour markers and hands coated in Lumibrite. Secondly, a legible minute track is also at the extreme edge of the dial. Additionally, the dial is surrounded by a uni-directional turning bezel in blue ceramic. Furthermore, the practical blue silicone strap has a heavy duty pin buckle. Moreover, the substantial screw-down crown has a grid pattern for improved grip. Finally, the watch has a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface.
