This Seiko Prospex Street Series “Tuna” Safari Edition Watch combines looks and substance. Striking in shades of green, it marries urban design with Seiko’s 5 decades of experience creating dive watches.

This specific design is named the ‘Tuna’ by Seiko fans – because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin – loved for decades since its first release in 1975. However, this Street Series version is more compact making it versatile enough to wear both on the street and 200m under the sea.

Case, Dial, Bracelet

Firstly, the robust stainless steel case is 43.2mm in diameter. Secondly, the green dial has high-visibility hour markers and hands coated in Lumibrite. Consequently, the dial is legible and easy to read under water. Furthermore, the green accordion-style silicone strap is durable and practical. A design invented by Seiko, it allows for the expansion and contraction of a diver’s wrist under water. Finally, a date indicator between 4 and 5 o’clock is a useful addition.

Water resistant to 200 m/660 ft, the “Tuna” Safari Edition has a screw caseback. Additionally, it has a screw-down crown which is located at 4 o’clock for safety reasons when diving. Equipped with an automatic movement, it has a power reserve of approx. 41 hours.
