This Seiko 5 Sports Field Deception Mechanical GMT Watch has an ‘in the field’ military design. Drawing inspiration from trench watches, it’s rugged, robust and reliable in even the toughest of conditions.
First released in 1963, Seiko 5 automatic watches were stylish yet affordable and aimed at the younger generation. Additionally, they were known for their durability. Over sixty years on, Seiko 5 watches retain many of the original key characteristics with new styling and updated features.
Case, Dial, Movement, Bracelet
Firstly, the Seiko 5 Sports Field Deception Mechanical GMT Watch has a 42.5mm black IP stainless steel case (view the ‘Deploy’ version here). Secondly, the bezel features a 24-hour scale. The black dial has luminous indices and hands. This makes it easy to read. Additionally, the orange GMT hand allows you to track a second time zone. Also, a date indicator is a useful feature and is common to all Seiko 5 watches. An automatic calibre 4R34 equips the watch and the movement can be viewed in action through the exhibition caseback. Moreover, the watch has a 41 hour power reserve. Also a stop seconds function means that it is possible to halt the movement within the watch. Finally, a black calf leather strap completes the look and a black pin buckle secures it to the wrist.
With a water resistance of 100m and a curved Hardlex crystal, the Seiko 5 Sports Field Deception Mechanical GMT Watch is a practical “go anywhere” timepiece. Enjoy wearing it for all the different aspects of your life.
